CREATE YOUR OWN MOMENTUM & YOU CAN FLY

Remember that you hold the key to your engine and you belong in the drivers seat.

We all have times when we feel like the world is against us. Yes it can feel frustrating, demotivating and bloody hard work but that’s no reason to stop.

Once you jump into the driver’s seat and start creating your own momentum you don’t need the wind to be blowing in your direction (i.e. what some would call luck).

How?
1. Really focus what you want and how you want to feel

2. Think small! Rather than get overwhelmed with the bigger picture, map out the baby steps you can take to take. They all add up!

3. Identify and understand your WHY!

Watch out, when you go for it you can create such force that you don’t need to rely on any external factors.

We can be really awesome at creating stories that simply aren’t true! If you do that you’re giving that narrative power by letting it shape our mindset and approach.

So how can you stop believing these lies and focus on what’s reality? A good question to ask is: WHAT IS FACT & WHAT IS FICTION?

When you make assumptions and allow self-limiting beliefs to kick in you’re creating fiction and ‘muddying’ the water.

Clarity brings confidence and clarity comes from focusing on the FACTS.

Are You Stuck in Rut? My Top Tips for Making Change Happen...

There really isn’t a quick fix but I have a formula for successfully making changes that last a life time.

Think about how an easel works. It needs three solid legs. It simply won’t work otherwise. The exact same concept applies for creating sustainable change. You need three solid pillars in place to support the change.

1. Self Awareness - Your approach will dictate success. A positive mindset is everything. Be mindful of your attitude and be ready to manage any element of self-sabotage.

2. Commitment - Have a robust plan.
It’s not uncommon for doubts to creep in, unforeseen complications to pop up, your circumstances may change. A well thought-out plan will help you overcome these obstacles as you’ll have a strategy in place to deal with them.

3. Significant Reward - Your motivation to gain from change or not to significantly suffer if no change occurs. Basically you need to WANT this change to happen which will mean you are motivated to make the change and stick with it.

REMOVING TOXIC PEOPLE FROM YOUR LIFE

The first step is to recognise who they are and sometimes it’s not that easy as they don’t always have a sign around their neck saying ‘Beware I’m Toxic!’

It can be a challenge as it can be someone who’s been in your life for years, someone you love, someone who tells you that you’re awesome and the best thing that ever happened to them or someone who appears on the surface to have your back. Sometimes these people don’t want to, or mean to be sabotaging you but they are and however much you try and figure out why - the fact remains the same...

You will never thrive whilst surrounded with toxicity and relationships that drain you and take you off course.

Keep you eyes open and be honest with yourself.

Often we can be wearing cement boots without even realising.

That weight can come from having self limiting beliefs, by investing time and energy into things we can’t control, maybe holding onto the past and even sometimes people, if they bring toxicity into your life.

It’s tiring and demoralising! ‘Letting go’ doesn’t always have to mean drastic measures. There are techniques you can adopt to minimise their impact on you and how you live your life.
