THIS is a powerful question to get into the habit of asking yourself regularly.
It can be helpful on many levels. The habits we create on a day to day basis. All the little stuff adds up.
It can also help when we get stuck with bigger life stuff. When our headspace gets full. Maybe weighing up which way to go next. Maybe there’s lots of people offering advice. I often talk about the ‘noise’ of life.
This can help you get some clarity and block the noise. Stop and ask yourself are your habits, behaviour and choices supporting the life you want to live?
Are you currently sat in a rocking chair? Do you find yourself there often?
Worrying! Overthinking! Ruminating! They can keep us busy and consumed but have no use at all in helping us get anywhere.
There are heaps of techniques that you can learn first to become aware when we fall into this trap then how you can tackle it.
My number one tip is ask yourself ‘Is this in my control?’ If the answer is NO then that can help the rational part of our brain kick in. Why invest time and energy into something which we can’t control or influence?
Retraining our brain takes practice but is a game changer!
I’m absolutely buzzing. Doing what I love and am deeply passionate about. Sharing my coaching framework and techniques to LIVE rather than just exist.

Whatever is going on in your life. Whoever is or isn’t present. There is one constant. YOU HAVE CHOICES.
First step is recognising that you have this power. Second step is using it!
There is no rule book. ‘By 30 I must achieve this’. ‘I’m a parent now so I can’t do that’. ‘I’m too old to make that kind of change’.
On a day to day basis - even on those crazy days when it feels like you’re being pulled in different directions. Every minute of every day you have a choice how to show up. Smile or frown. Laugh or cry. Grow or stagnate.
Then when you do take that step back and look at the bigger picture. Don’t limit your options by sticking with a tiny menu... check out everything!
What contributes to you feeling fulfilled, happy, proud? What makes you tick?
Who are you? How do you want to show up? Essentially your values are your moral compass for navigating life.
Getting to really know yourself and understand what you’re all about can be a game changer. With this knowledge you’re better equipped to make decisions and see more clearly but it is also the foundation for building self confidence and self belief.

You can harness positivity to help you overcome obstacles and thrive or you can let negativity sneak in and create obstacles.
Yep there is plenty of stuff that’s out of our control. Life can be tough. Life can be hard work. Life can be challenging. However once you realise that YOU have the power (or the watering can in the case of this quote) you can nurture good things! You can grow, feel fulfilled, accomplished and ultimately live a happier life!
