Your Life Journey

**Accepting uncomfortable emotions and thoughts**

I’ve not gone mad but I’m walking about quicksand!

Rather than avoid or struggle with difficult decisions which can lead to you sinking further, try this to help you can do something different from what comes naturally... it’s seems counterintuitive but it will help you gain freedom to move forward.

Back by popular demand... our ‘Inspire & Connect’ session at the November THAME WOMEN’S COLLECTIVE.

We’ll be putting our heads together for collective power! Share a business challenge that you are facing and invite some fresh input, maybe share a plan and welcome feedback, ask for inspiration with a certain project. It is entirely up to you how much you share. You may prefer to listen and possibly share input in the informal small group discussion.

If you’re a woman in business looking to connect with like-minded women, this is networking event with a difference! We’re a super welcoming and friendly bunch. No pressure. No pitches. No presentations. Simply a room full of women with one goal... to support each other and make networking and making new connections fun!

Being your own boss and/or working solo can sometimes leave you feeling pretty isolated with little opportunity to talk about your ideas, plans and challenges. So why not grab a ticket (I’ll post the link in the comment) or get in touch.

Wednesday 27th Nov 7:30pm at Rumsey’s Thame.

I always love settling down with a cuppa to read Vale Life Magazine. In this latest issue I’m asking if you’ve found yourself waiting and watching your life unfold on the sidelines...

If this sounds familiar take a look, I suggest some questions to help you challenge that status quo.

▶️SENSE CHECK◀️ Your idea of who you are is often totally at odds with who you actually are and how you are viewed by others.

This imbalance is something I work on with my clients a lot both in their personal and professional lives. It’s often something they’re not even aware of and it’s negative impact on their thinking and decisions.

We can tell ourselves some great stories which are not based on reality. This narrative fuels self sabotage and imposter syndrome.

First step is to be aware that you may have fallen into this trap. Then regain the balance by checking how you are labelling and defining yourself. Are you harbouring any self limiting beliefs that aren’t helpful to you flourishing? Are you giving your inner critic a megaphone which is drowning out reality?

So I urge you to sit on that seesaw and regain that balance! If you need a helping hand you know where to find me.

I remember when I first read this and the penny dropping BIG TIME!

Your approach, thoughts, perspective, resilience, strength, vulnerability are what matter!

It’s so easy to look externally for validation or reasonings.

YOU hold more power than you think. YOU and what you’re made of determines the outcome not the circumstances.

YOUR VALUES! What are they? Why are they so important?

Think of your values as your Compass, helping guide you through life. They provide direction rather than a destination.

Here I explain why understanding your values and setting goals against them can be a gamechanger.

It’s without a doubt one of the highlights for my clients when we explore their values and the bearing they have on their life decision and thinking.

If you fancy a helping hand in exploring your values and harnessing their power - why not get in touch?

Anyone feeling like this?

Running away from your fears and situations that scare you may feel like the easy option but in reality it gets really exhausting overtime!

So how can we break the cycle? Here’s a few things to consider:

STEP 1️⃣ - figure out WHAT it is you’re actually scared of. Often simply asking this question can be a game changer.

STEP 2️⃣ - Engage the rational part of your brain by focussing on the facts. This helps keep your emotional thinking in check and not letting self sabotage thoughts derail us.

STEP 3️⃣ - Work hard to stay in the present. You can press fast forward and start imagining the worse possible outcomes which fuel the fear. Also you may get stuck in the past and allow your experiences to shape a narrative that will keep you running!

STEP 4️⃣ - Focus on what you can control. That will help you feel in control and capable of dealing with the situation.

Why not try to stop running - you may be surprised with the outcome?
